FAQs
How do I get to Belladrum Estate?
The site is near Beauly, about 12 miles west of Inverness. Most people drive — there's a large car park on site (car parking pass usually required, sold separately). Official shuttle buses run from Inverness bus station and train station throughout the festival — well worth it if you're coming by rail.
What's the nearest train station?
Inverness is your stop — served by ScotRail from Glasgow Queen Street (about 3 hours 20 mins) and Edinburgh (about 3 hours 30 mins). From Inverness, hop on the official Belladrum shuttle bus or grab a taxi (about 20 minutes).
Is Belladrum family-friendly?
Absolutely — it's one of the most family-friendly festivals in the UK. Bairns Belladrum is a dedicated kids' area with activities all weekend. Under-12s often get in free with a full-paying adult, so check the official site for the exact policy for 2026.
Can I camp at the festival?
Yes — camping is a big part of the Belladrum experience! Weekend camping passes include access to the campsite from Thursday. Glamping options (bell tents, pods) are available separately via the official site. Day ticket holders do not have camping access.
What should I bring?
This is the Scottish Highlands — waterproofs and wellies are non-negotiable even in July! Layers are essential as evenings get chilly. The site is mostly grass so sturdy footwear is wise. Cash and card are both accepted on site.
Are there good pubs or places to eat nearby?
The festival has a brilliant selection of Scottish street food and bars on site. If you're in Inverness before the event, The Hootananny on Church Street is legendary for live Highland music and a great pint. The Beauly Arms in Beauly village is also a lovely spot for a pre-festival meal.
