Sellers must provide original booking confirmation so the buyer can register the wristband in their own name. VIP upgrades may be transferred separately. FAQs
How do I get to the festival from London?
Jump on the Elizabeth line or a Great Western Railway train from London Paddington to Reading — it's about 25 minutes. From Reading station, official shuttle buses run directly to the festival site throughout the day. It's genuinely the easiest way to get there and avoids the parking nightmare.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, there's a dedicated car park but it must be pre-booked in advance — you cannot pay on the gate. Honestly though, the train + shuttle combo is far less stressful. If you're camping and driving, pre-book a campervan pitch or car camping space when you buy your ticket.
Can I buy a wristband transfer? How does that work?
Reading uses RFID wristbands that are registered to one person — once activated, they can't be transferred. The safest way to buy a ticket through us is before the wristband has been registered. The seller provides their booking confirmation and you register the wristband in your own name via the official festival portal before you arrive.
What's the difference between a Day ticket and Weekend Camping?
A Day ticket gives you access to the festival site on one specific day only, no camping. Weekend Camping covers all three main festival days (Friday–Sunday) plus your campsite for the full weekend. Thursday Early Entry lets you arrive a day early to get a decent spot in the campsite — worth it if you're going the whole way.
Are there good pubs or bars near the site?
The site itself has loads of bars — you won't be short of a drink. If you want a proper pub before heading in, The Fisherman's Cottage on Kennetside is a Reading classic. In town, Broad Street and the Oracle have plenty of options for a pre-festival pint. Most people go straight to the site though.
What should I bring? Any tips?
This is England in August — it will probably rain. Bring wellies or waterproof boots even if the forecast looks good. Layers are essential. Bring a reusable cup (saves on bar queues), a portable charger, and cash as backup. Camping chairs are welcome in certain areas but check the latest site rules. Arrive early on your first day — the queues at gates can be long in the afternoon.
