FAQs

How do I get to Southsea Seafront?

Trains run regularly from London Waterloo to Portsmouth & Southsea or Portsmouth Harbour — about 1h 30m. From the station it's a 20–25 minute walk along the seafront or a quick taxi/Uber. National Express coaches also serve Portsmouth from major cities. Driving is possible but parking is extremely limited on the seafront — park-and-ride or a city centre car park and walk is your best bet.

Is there parking at Victorious?

There is very limited parking near Southsea Seafront and it fills up extremely fast. Portsmouth city centre has several multi-storey car parks (e.g. Gunwharf Quays, Charlotte Street) — a 25–30 minute walk or short taxi to the site. The festival strongly encourages public transport. Cycling is a great option — there are secure bike parks on site.

What are the best pubs or places to eat nearby?

The Southsea seafront strip has loads of great spots. The Florence Arms and The Festing are local favourites for a pre-festival pint. Albert Road in Southsea is brilliant for independent restaurants and bars — Southsea Social and Pie & Vinyl are must-visits. Once inside, the food village at Victorious is genuinely excellent — one of the better festival food scenes in the UK.

Is there a dress code?

It's a festival on the coast — no dress code, just dress for the weather! Bank holiday weekends in Portsmouth can be sunny and warm or breezy and autumnal, so layers are wise. Wellies aren't usually necessary on the seafront grass but a light waterproof is always a good shout.

What time do the gates open?

Gates typically open around 11:00–11:30am each day, with the first acts on stage from midday. Headliners usually take the main Castle Stage around 9pm. Check the official Victorious Festival app or website for the full set times closer to the event.

Are weekend tickets better value than day tickets?

Absolutely — at £210 for the weekend versus £84 per day, the weekend pass is the best value if you're planning to attend more than two days. They're also the first to sell out, so snap them up early. Day tickets for Saturday tend to sell out next fastest.
