York station is right in the city centre — LNER from London Kings Cross takes about two hours. From the station it's a 25-minute walk across the Knavesmire or grab a taxi for about £7. There are also official shuttle buses on the big race days.

Yes, there's on-site car parking at York Racecourse — book in advance through the official site as it sells out on Ebor day and Saturday. Park-and-ride options from the edge of York are a good shout on busy days.

County Stand requires smart dress — jacket and tie for men, smart attire for women. Tattersalls and the Knavesmire Stand are smart casual. The Village has a more relaxed, festival feel. Fascinators very much encouraged across the board.
